Safety flooring
Commercial safety flooring in Shropshire
Slip-resistant flooring fitted to specification
Safety flooring is specified, not chosen on looks. We fit slip-resistant sheet vinyl for commercial kitchens, food preparation areas, washrooms, changing rooms, schools, nurseries, surgeries, care homes and industrial units across Shropshire, to the wet slip rating the environment calls for — typically R10 to R12, or a 36+ pendulum value in barefoot and wet areas.
The detailing is what keeps a safety floor compliant. Seams are hot air welded with matching rod so nothing can wick underneath, skirtings are coved up the wall over a fillet and finished with capping, and outlets, gullies and door thresholds are dressed in properly.
Fitted around your opening hours
Most of our commercial work is done overnight, at weekends or through a shutdown so kitchens, wards and classrooms lose as little time as possible. We will programme the work with your site manager, protect the access route, and hand the area back cleaned and ready to use.
We work directly for businesses and also as flooring subcontractors for Shropshire builders, shopfitters and facilities managers, with method statements and product data supplied where required.

Safety flooring questions we are asked
- What slip rating does a commercial kitchen need?
- Commercial kitchens are normally specified at R11 or R12 with an aggregate-loaded safety vinyl, because of grease and standing water. We will confirm the right product against your risk assessment before quoting.
- Can you fit safety flooring out of hours?
- Yes. Nights, weekends and shutdown periods are how most of our commercial safety flooring is fitted, so the kitchen, washroom or classroom is back in use for the next shift.
- Do you supply coved skirtings and capping?
- Yes. Coving over a fillet with capping rail, hot-welded seams and sealed thresholds are all part of a compliant safety floor and are included in the specification we quote.
